Aaqitauvik Healing Centre is located in beautiful Quaqtaq, Quebec and has been dedicated to the healing of the body, soul, and spirit since it’s opening in 2008.
Why is the AHC necessary?
As a result of institutional abuses like residential schools, patients sent down south to TB sanatoriums, relocations, dog slaughters and other life’s hurts, undealt issues, shock and trauma, today many Inuit suffer from the many effects of unresolved trauma, including but not limited to:
